ALL tattoo appointments will require a deposit to be paid prior to being booked in. 

All deposits are non-refundable, for any reason. Deposits help to cover the additional time required to create your design, hold your appointment spot, and act as a form of insurance for my work as well. 

Deposits are non-transferable. If you cannot make your appointment, your deposit can be used towards a rebook. Please allow at least 48 hours notice if a rebook is required, or the deposit will be forfeit and an additional deposit will be required to rebook. 

Deposits can be paid either by e-transfer to samanthablacktattoos@gmail.com or by credit card via invoice. A credit card processing fee will be applied to the invoice if paying by credit card.

Please allow at least 48 hours notice if you are unable to make your appointment. If notice is given with less than 48 hours, your deposit will be forfeit and a new deposit will be required to rebook your appointment. 

If cancelling or rescheduling with more than 48 hours notice, your deposit will be transferred to the new appointment date. 

If you no-show your appointment, your deposit will be forfeit and you will be asked to pay for your tattoo in full upon rebooking. If a second no-show occurs, you will be asked to find a new tattoo artist and future bookings will not be accepted. 

Arriving more than 15 minutes late to your appointment will result in your appointment being cancelled and marked as a no-show. Your deposit will be forfeit. If this is your first no-show, you will be asked to rebook your appointment and the full cost of your tattoo will be required upfront. If this is your second no-show, your deposit will be forfeit, you will not be able to rebook, and you will be asked to find a new artist.

*I do understand that sometimes, life just happens! Consideration will be given in extreme cases, and on a case by case basis.

** Due to a history with specific health concerns, there are situations in which I may need to reschedule your appointment for emergent or health reasons, sometimes last minute. Although this is a situation that I try to avoid to the absolute best of my ability, it does happen. If a situation like this occurs, special consideration will be given for availability, and evenings or weekends may open up in order to rebook you at your best convenience. 

*It's important to understand that by requesting a tattoo from me, it is assumed that you've done your research as well, and you understand my individual tattoo style and abilities. Booking an appointment and then asking me to design a tattoo that is not within my artistic capabilities or tattoo style will result in your deposit being forfeit and your appointment will be cancelled. 

Please be considerate of the fact that this is an artform and creative outlet for me. I will not agree to do a tattoo that I don't believe I can execute well, or that I don't believe will heal well or age well. 

Your deposit covers the additional time required to research, create and draw your design. The initial draw and two reasonable adjustments are covered in the cost of the deposit. If additional adjustments are required, you will be required to send an additional draw fee to cover the extra time spent on your design. 

Any requests for extensive changes, a full redraw, or concept change, will result in the deposit being forfeit and your appointment will need to be rebooked to compensate for the additional time required for the redraw. A new deposit will also be required.

All clients will be treated with professionalism and respect. I expect the same courtesy. 

As your artist, I reserve the right to refuse service at any point, to anyone. Verbal and/or physical abuse of any kind will not be tolerated. Any comments or actions that are deemed inappropriate, threaten the safety of myself or surrounding staff, either verbal or non-verbal, will result in the appointment being stopped. You will be asked to cover the remaining balance of your tattoo, and you will immediately be asked to leave. You will not be able to make any future bookings. 

This is my job. I love what I do and I'm grateful for the ability to create an income through one of my create outlets, but it is my livelihood. Any client - past, present, or potential - that creates an environment in which I no longer feel safe or respected, will no longer be welcome, no exceptions.
